Nephrology

Our nephrology service diagnoses and treats abnormal kidney function, proteinuria, haematuria, oedema and electrolyte disturbances. We monitor glomerular filtration rate, urine protein and kidney ultrasound, and we provide long-term management for hypertensive and diabetic kidney disease. The service emphasises early diagnosis and intervention to slow disease progression, and patients receive dietary and lifestyle guidance. We work closely with internal medicine and cardiology on multi-system conditions — well suited to patients with fluctuating renal values or urine abnormalities.
