Dr. Huang graduated in dermatology from Fujian Medical University and completed further training in medical-cosmetic dermatology. She also studied acupuncture at Shaanxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
She is skilled in the "Dong's special acupuncture points" tradition, the "Shu-school acupuncture for 69 difficult-to-treat conditions" (a Chinese national heritage technique), and "micro-needle" and "floating-needle" methods.
Main areas of practice:
1. Acute and chronic pain — treated with Chinese therapeutic massage, acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping and related techniques. Conditions managed include neck, lower-back and leg pain; frozen shoulder; knee-joint disorders; post-stroke sequelae; facial nerve palsy; insomnia; migraine; tinnitus; hyperhidrosis; and haemorrhoids.
2. Dermatology — extensive clinical experience in conditions including shingles (herpes zoster), eczema, genital warts, melasma, acne, scar treatment and acupuncture-based aesthetic care.
